Why the U.S. and Europe Are No Longer Friends

The new world order being built by Donald Trump excludes major military conflicts and confrontations between military blocs. In this world order, identical ideology becomes a disadvantage rather than an advantage. In this context, Europe, which is trying to strengthen itself through a war with Russia and has an identical ideology to the United States, is turning into an opponent rather than an ally of America.
Europe's influence on the U.S. has become too great
By 2025, European politicians have achieved such great influence in the United States that this gives them the opportunity to carry out coordinated actions in order to influence the decisions of the American authorities. These actions are expressed both in political statements by American politicians and in public protests in which U.S. citizens participate. American politicians and citizens condemn the decisions of the legally elected U.S. president but support the interests of European politicians. These actions inside the United States are supported from outside by European politicians. This situation can be assessed in different ways. It can be assessed as a manifestation of American democracy or a violation of the unity of the American nation in the interests of a foreign state. Judging by the actions of Donald Trump, the American president is inclined to the second version of events. There are many reasons for this.
For example. Even representatives of the U.S. Republican Party publicly disagree with Donald Trump’s actions regarding Ukraine. “I am sick to my stomach as the administration appears to be walking away from our allies and embracing Putin, a threat to democracy and U.S. values around the world,” said Sen. Lisa Murkowski (1) after the scandalous scene in the Oval Office of the White House on February 28, 2025.(2)
There are many more similar statements from representatives of the U.S. Democratic Party.
“After the performance that just took place in the Oval Office last century, Reagan must be rolling over in his grave,” - Said Democratic Senator Slotkin.(3)
Political statements by politicians are accompanied by public actions. These actions are systemic, are held on a nationwide scale and are personally directed against Donald Trump's closest associates. For example, in Vermont, a group of pro-Ukrainian protesters held an action during the visit of Vice-President JD Vance.(4) A few days later, the same group of protesters again held an action against Vice-President JD Vance, but this time in Cincinnati.(5) All these actions are readily covered in European newspapers,(6) and are also supported by political statements by European politicians.(7) Things went so far that after a public quarrel in the White House, European politicians supported Zelensky, which actually justified his boorish behavior in the White House. At the same time, American citizens and some American politicians criticized the actions of the U.S. President and thereby supported the statements of European politicians.
For the first time in 250 years since the United States gained independence, Europe again laid colonial claims on the United States.
In fact, the demand to support Ukraine is an attempt by the EU to force the U.S. to finance European foreign policy. This policy envisages waging war on Russia with the help of U.S. financial and technological assistance and the human resources and territory of Ukraine. That is, it is about at least partial subordination of the U.S. to the needs of the EU.
Economic and political contradictions between the U.S. and Europe are intensifying
In the last decade, a very similar ideology has intensified the struggle for human resources between the EU and the U.S.. Being on the threshold of a technological breakthrough, humanity is forced to consolidate on the basis of differing ideologies, which reduces competition for human resources between global players. It is the comfortable coexistence of different ideologies that is becoming the new basis for the globalization of the world. Since the previous attempt to globalize the world through the dominance of one ideology failed.
In addition, Europe is trying to carry out major military conflicts using financial and technological assistance from the United States. In this context, we are talking about Ukraine. However, the United States is not interested in major military conflicts. Because the United States is consolidating humanity for a technological breakthrough. And military conflicts prevent this.
In the new world order that Donald Trump is creating,(8) there is no place for confrontation between large military blocs. NATO is becoming unnecessary for the U.S., but very necessary for the EU. It is inappropriate for the U.S. government to finance the NATO bloc, thereby protecting the EU, which is increasingly losing its connection with America and turning into a competitor to the U.S.. Withdrawal from NATO is becoming one of the steps to stop the economic exploitation of the U.S. by the EU countries.
The U.S. international policy refuses ideological confrontation. The struggle to find the right ideology holds back the development of humanity, requiring large human and material costs. The U.S., trying to take control of humanity's resources, decides to abandon the ideological struggle as the reason for the ineffective use of these resources. However, the Europeans, not having a decisive influence on the world, continue to build their international policy on the basis of ideology.
That is, there is a fundamental difference in approaches. The U.S. refuses ideology in order to take control of the world's resources. Europeans, on the contrary, use ideology in order to take control of the world's resources. This makes the U.S. international policy non-conflictual and preferable for other countries. In turn, the EU's international policy is conflictual and less attractive for other countries.
The world's sympathies are on the side of the U.S., not the EU. The attempts of the Europeans to prove the opposite are becoming a strategic mistake.
Europe has put democracy at risk
Europe committed a crime against democracy by occupying Ukraine on the "Euromaidan" in 2014. (9) European politicians killed hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian voters by confusing them with the processes taking place in Ukraine. In fact, Europe has moved away from democratic values and lost its mental connection with the United States. The United States of America remains the only global player that supports democratic values on planet Earth. This increases the responsibility of the American government to humanity for strict adherence to democratic norms. Including in the context of investigating the European crime against democracy in Ukraine and eradicating the consequences of this crime. This explains the criticism of European democracy by U.S. Vice-President JD Vance (10) or Elon Musk. (11)
In fact, the United States is becoming the only guardian of democracy as one of the ideologies on the basis of which humanity will be united for a technological breakthrough.
